It was three times the price of a normal lead, best part of £15

Thought about butchering one up myself but for the neatness and one off price I thought I may as well do it properly for the thermal.

Are you calling me a cheap skate?

Hello G  Good to read that you've finished the move  Meant to post on your thread but been flat out lambing and haven't had too much time to post. Been reading though..

Whilst the deben made up cable sounded dear (to me  ) I've got to give them credit with their service. It's all made up and will be with me tomorrow  would imagine the ebay adaptor should be here by the end of the week to. Neither will give me a massive boost to numbers but it'll save me reaching out of my hide to change the batteries when the thermals on the pan and tilt for hours on end. The two odd hours of the Guides battery life is manageable but it would be a lot better to have the battery longevity of the Pulsar..

Of course you are going to be up to your arms in it at the moment. I haven't been down your way for ages now as the factory was closed at the end of the year and there are not many people left so no reason for me to go down.
I am run off my feet at the moment with dIFeicin Y. Mainly assembling the man cave. Amazing how long it takes to make some shelves.
My biggest problem now is I cannot for the life of me find my bike keys. I have searched the house high and low. Tomorrow it is into the garage to take everything that has been packed away out and start looking.

My guide is cooked so that is having to go back to be looked at but I still have battery issues. I think I may have screwed a few of them up. Got a decent charger now so the problem appears reduced.

I got to try the pulsar 2 weeks ago. It is good but I think the guide is better.

That's a bugger about the keys, have you looked in/on the bike somewhere? I'm guessing you drove it there??

That's a tw@t about the guide, hope it gets sorted quickly and cheaply for you!

A chap local to me is getting a pulsar soon, I'm hoping he'll let me have a look though it with him just out of interest. He's also got a drone which I'd also like to take a peak through.(Phil if you're reading this wink wink  ).

On the other note my lead and adaptor turned up this morning. Just plugged them in and they worked a treat.

Are you supposed to leave the batteries in the guide when using an additional power source or remove them?
I tried it with them in and a symbol appeared where the battery indicator is so I assume all is well. It wasn't until later I thought perhaps it shouldn't have batteries in..

You can leave the batteries in the Guide when using external power, but the batteries won't be getting charged up.

Cheers
