Looking out the patio doors , early evening, and spotted a fox just meandering around next doors garden. As luck would have it I had my Air Arms .177 in my hands as I'd been shooting buds off the walnut tree

The fox looked at me and just carried on wandering slowly around, sniffing here and there, and generally treating me with contempt
Well, it had to happen didn't it. I put the scope to my eye and zeroed in right on the end of his tail, I could see daylight through the fur so knew there was nothing meaty there. (Bear in mind I'd just been shooting buds off a tree at the same range so knew it was zeroed)
I squeezed the trigger and let one fly.
Flippin eck, foxes can't half accelerate

Straight through a privet hedge without backing off
