Hi and thanks for letting me join this forum, im just in the middle of building my own add on nv for my rifle scope, its looking sweet, wanting to get a recording unit for it next, cant wait to field test it next time im hunting

Hi Nathan welcome to the forum that will hopefully minimise the items you'll be bunging in a spare parts drawer.

Video's are the icing on the cake if you like that sort of thing. If you already have a decent size monitor a small screen DVR on a Y splitter is generally the way to go because most of them will record better quality imaging than larger 5" screen ones, although the latter are more than passable.

If you don't yet have a monitor - a 5" is a better compromise for viewing and recording with a single device.

thanks guys, just bought a T20 ir torch, all i need now is a battery to power up the camera and screen, ive tested it all on a 12v power supply using a mates yukon ir torch, all working great
