I bought this off here and it has sat on a shelf ever since without me ever getting around to doing anything with it. Unfortunately I am not likely to either, time is simply something that seems to elude me. Well she can find plenty for me for the DIY.

There were a number of things that weren't right so I sent it up to a man who knows all about NV stuff a few weeks to look at it and give me his opinion. Here is what he said,
There are a number of issues with the scope:
1) Eyepiece block with zeroing turrets wobbles, it affects POI shift, therefor needs to be fixed. I see that it was previously taken apart many times and threads and screws are in poor state, and the best way to sort this problem in cost effective way is to use epoxy glue or some kind of cement to stop it moving and have it more or less watertight.
2) Intermittent ON / OFF switch. Original sight had an electronic board which was controlling proximity sensor (would switch the scope when you take your head out of the sight to save battery life) and other not important extras. I would recommend to replace the switch on top of the sight with simple rocking switch.
3) Crosshair is not in the central range, therefore you may run out of windage or elevation when trying to zero the scope. If it is the case, just shim the mount to compensate.
Image intensifier is OK for its years, and on in all, the sight still can be used if the above points sorted, but only on recoilless guns. I recommend you to sort the problems on your own, it is not difficult, repairing by third party can be too expensive.
So it has good potential, just needs someone with more time than me to play with it. The IR doesn't work either but they did tend to be rubbish with these things
Looking for £320 rmsd.
