This a fantastic lens for a spotter, have one myself, much lighter than 75mm Cosmicar 1.4. Would have bought it if didn't buy a extender earlier. Good luck with the sale.

They are like tele converters for slr lenses, they double up the zoom to 25-150 f3.6

Yes it has a Lens in it. My understanding is acts a doubler but is abetter option than adding a doubler on the end. I've had a quick play on a M42 50mm 1.8 and it seems to give a good picture. Torch wood and Blueeyes also now have them so it will be interesting to get there opinion once they have tried them.
