Re: 902 b's on the bay
is a 902b better than a 902h
Re: 902 b's on the bay
I have had a read and the h is normally set on low gain because of noise issues and the b is normally set on high and I understand they are virtually the same in use , have a search on this forum to satisfy yourself , I am a new dabbler.
Re: 902 b's on the bay
I own both, the 902h is far superior to the 902b in the sense it pick up more light. The 902b struggles to pick up any light from the stars or moon where's the 902h will give a picture without any ir under these conditions.
However, if you throw plenty of ir at the 902b it gives a good picture and is very difficult to white out with too much ir at close range like lots of other cameras do.
For a cheap camera more suited to a spotter you won't go far wrong with the 902b if you have the ir to use with it.
I have never tried the 902b behind a scope but would presume the way it performs not behind a scope compared to the 902h it would probably need even more ir due to the amount of glass in front of it and it's lack in ability of gathering light.

Re: 902 b's on the bay
As the man above above said, not bad for a spotter but don't bother as an addon
Re: 902 b's on the bay
Many thanks for chimeing in fella's , it is for a spotter so should be ok, I am more a dabbler as we have big field and a cycle track and its interesting to see what's watching me on the dog walk late at night, the bay does offer cheap stuff/rubbish , bought a dinion for £13 that looks promising the solenoid operated IR filter is an odd one.
