I have never used the mk1 but i am guessing clarity is better due to a better viewfinder

had an original Photon for a couple of weeks and got rid of it..........just not for me :?

but had the opportunity to look through JDK1's XT at the NV meet and I must say I was very impressed. the display is much much better, and the unit seemed a lot less focus fussy......a big improvement on the mk1

cheers jock

hi jdk1. did you get a chance to do some vid to pit on the forum. Got a Mk1 which has been ok on my Hw100 and i guess would be ok on a 22lr out to 60-70 at a real push. Have An Xt on order from Sc to replace on my ar but have been waiting 4 weeks now so surprised at your price with extras it didn' fly. Wil hopefully sell my Mk1 when the Xt arrives. Any vid would be good as it give me an idea if i still want one. Got a nt300 on order to stick on a mamba on my hummer just cant see either mk1 or xt being any good out at 100 yds but happy to be told otherwise.

Cheers.

I managed to get a very short bit of video but there was so much mist about we gave up in the end and came home , both the T20 and the photon could have been a bit better focused in this  , the field we were in has been pinged at 180 yards wide and we were about 15 - 20 yards in so the tree line in this is roughly 160 yards away and the closest rabbit probably about 130 ish

 thx for that c what u mean about the mist but still not a bad vid.

Assuming you had the doubler on. Wasn't intending on getting one so on the basis it was on don't think i will be sticking the xt on my annie, new to fac so kinda like to have a big block of rabbit in my sight before taking a shot out at a 100. Use a 6-24 x 50 Stirling Nikko during the day got the mamba 4-16 x50 to stick the nt300 on. trying the mamba out today if it will stop bluddy raining

if its good will maybe sell the Stirling but on the other hand my permission is in two sections and i can get a good view of parts of the far end of the other section with it up at 24. Saves me wasting time as the other section gets a lot of walkers so if i can see a few of them I don't waste my time packing up and going back on the roads to get over there.

cheers for doing that for me.

someone kindly reminded me about gun safety re my paragraph using my 6x24 to spot. just sos you dontink im a cowboy i always keep my hummer bolt out and nothing in the breech when not on target. when inhave used to spot which is very rare as most of my time is at night take the mag out too very concious one cock up means no more shooting. jus so it is clear i do take safety seriously but good reminder.

Thx for the tug.
