FORUM UPGRADE

Post by silent shooter » 01 Dec 2014, 23:53

Hi all
The forum will be shutting down for a short while from 6.30am this thursday the 4th, hopefully only for a couple of hours, im sure some of you will be pleased to know the LIKE button is going to be removed as part of this upgrade.
Im sure you all must realise its very difficult to please all the members all of the time, having said that we honestly DO take notice of what you guys think (well its your forum )

I admit the like button was a mistake but we learn by mistakes hopefully ;) there are going to be a few alterations to the forum starting this thursday, im sure you guys will be patient and wait till John has finished his upgrade completely which may take several days but after the initial close down the rest he can do with the forum live hopefully.
There should be very little if any disruption to the forum,we apolagise in advance should it cause any probs to any members while upgrades are taking place.

Fair enough but it's not finished yet so might be a good idea to see the finished product in a few days or so before you criticise :?:

Ok lots of stuff not working and I've only been here 5 mins.

No 'view new posts' button (already posted this in the wrong place because of it) this was my goto feature every time I visited the forum.

Google spell check doesn't work, it shows up the spelling mistake but no right click to correct.

Can't copy and paste, infact all right click commands not working.

And wheres my grumpy icon as I have a real need for it this morning

Hi Marky610

These upgrades had to be done to future-proof the forum so we are trying hard to minimise the impact ...

Colours can be changed as we go to try and please everyone (or most people!)

New posts are in 'Quick Links' at the top

Copy and Paste / right-click commands are working here ... are you using a Mac?

Please report any faults etc and we will try to deal with them asap

Thanks

Sirhank and the admin team (having a well earnt cuppa  )
