These upgrades had to be done to future-proof the forum so we are trying hard to minimise the impact ...
Colours can be changed as we go to try and please everyone (or most people!)
New posts are in 'Quick Links' at the top
Copy and Paste / right-click commands are working here ... are you using a Mac?
Please report any faults etc and we will try to deal with them asap
Thanks

Can't copy and paste, infact all right click commands not working.
Hmm. Worked for me.
There's always the bathroom mirror.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the grumpiest git of all?"
Then your reflection tells you to get lost.
sirhank:
The new colour scheme works for me. I find it easier to read.

I find the colour scheme hard to read for some reason.
I would suggest a fresh white background with black or blue text, it would be easier to see bold text too.
Ive always found that websites with the opposite colour schemes to look like the old amateur Geocites sites from the 90's

+1 White on black is doin my eyes in. If we have to have a black background the green is a better contrast for the type. Why did we have to change it anyway. I hate change for the sake of it. Maybe I've turned into a grumpy old git. Where's that emoticon?

As stated in other posts, the upgrade was a necessity as there weren't any updates coming out for the old style forum. If it was left much longer we would have started to have problems with it.
We can assure you that it wasn't just for the hell of it. John has put many hours in on it and had many sleepless nights that he could have well done without.
I can't find a grumpy old git emoticon for you either

Hi George.
I'm not really a grumpy old git. In fact I don't know anyone who's more balanced than I am. I look at everything from all angles before making a decision. If I say the new forum is confusing and stressful I'm not just blowing smoke. I don't care if ten years have been spent on it, it's either right or wrong and for me (and I suspect I'm not alone) it's wrong. There are many members who will stick with it (and blow smoke) because most of them seem to have a vested interest but I'm finding already that I'm coming only when I need to know something and not a place to hang out like I wanted it to be. atb. My only issue is browsing on iPhone. No issues on tablet or pc.
Forum advertisers banners are not aligned.
Members location and post numbers are not showing.
It has to be mobile friendly. This the way forward.
Otherwise I'm good
