Hi sunndog, well my software guru says pb is not the best vehicle in the scheme of things but as for a definitive 'go to' he would not commit. Photobucket does not score very high on general internet feedback (that I have seen) and is apparently prone to misuse. Well I guess it depends how much one is worried/paranoid about posting this stuff out in the wild and lets face it there's nothing wilder than YT. However I wondered if there was something you guys (admin) could pull out of the bag for forum users/access only. I have to say that I have not read any negative feedback from forum users about photo bucket as yet but then very few members actually post images. I believe the consensus welcome members images and video links for obvious reasons and this site would be much the poorer without them - certainly images posted by users have helped me enormously mainly because I have a general problem with the spoken word which means getting to grips with text. Is there another way of posting images on this forum?

I don't mind the ads and stuff with PB free version.
I only put stuff up there there I don't care if someone looks at, steals, links to, whatever.
I do wish people would posts links to pics as IMG and not URL.
One click and away you go on this merry go round and have to backup to return.

I've had no issues with PB - but I started paying a modest 99p per month or so to stop the adverts last year.

Pickle, open a google drive account if you don't all ready have one, create a file called NVforum or whatever, then load your photo in to that file, click right click on the photo and click share link, then you just start a post or reply on here click on URL which is above the box you type in the paste your link between the URL brackets. Go to preview you will see the link there just click on it to confirm it workshttps://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-oOs ... W9QS0duZ2M

I wondered, now and again, what that strange antler sign was all about and often thought it might be for deer wardens or beetle drivers - spanner just did not occur to me. Funnily enough I just ordered some 3/16x24 capheads - no spanner you see. Well sunndog I think you are an extremely patient NVF chap ideally suited to dealing with complete idiots. How to redeem myself - no chance. I can only hope that i am able to find the place where my bookmarks are saved for future reference. Please don't tell some bloke about this as he will very likely snigger a lot.

Kevgun, I have noted your post and tried the link, lovely image, did not know about this facility so will investigate - thank you. Just lately Google persists in asking me to fill out some survey and will not let me proceed about my business unless I answer their stupid ambiguous questions. Dave you could pay me a quid or so and I could make it all go away - trouble is you would never find it again. Rv keep the dialogue and the images coming.

Just to say according to some American financial fast talking advisor to Sky News tonight we Pelliteers and i do count myself as one, have become a CONTAGION, I didn't know you blokes were infectious. I personally enjoy your calibre and long may you continue to fire from the hip whatever your persuasion. Is a contagion something that happens inside a pentagon or just a nasty infection that one can catch at the back of a queue behind a white house.
