Another newby

Post by Oddbob23 » 07 Sep 2023, 10:32

Hello and thanks for letting me in from the light....

I use my nightvision for short range rat shooting, currently using a PARD 007 though my old Yukon has done the business for years on top of an old Webley Raider 2 shot.

Currently trying to get a home made NV set up going to mount on a Gunpower Stealth, bought the camera and lens unit years ago after watching Rolaids bench videos, but it's the eyepiece unit I'm stuck on at the moment. The eyepiece came from Custom Riflescopes, and I bought that and a POT switch back in 2016, but never got round to setting it up. I did have some wiring diagrams to fit the POT to the viewer (it has a momentary switch fitted, not ideal for taking aim) but have either lost them, or they were a download and on another disused laptop.

The idea of fitting it on the Stealth is the camera can be mounted on the forward rail, closer to the boreline, which is better for shooting rats at 10m through a wire fence than the usual 100mm above the boreline the normal scope rail gives you.
Pretty much in the dark about it all
