who cant wait for harvest time ? mine starts roughly in 6 weeks and i cant wait my rifles are all cleaned and waiting for it, going to a Target range with Rick to test some . 22 ammo out for the up n coming Rabbits, may do a vid to review a few brands. ATB john

I'll be out almost every night for weeks, after charlie. Trouble is, it's such a small window nowadays. Fields are cut and re-sown in no time at all now.

im lucky in that aspect george, about 70% of my main farm isnt re planted until after christmas time, he leaves the stubble until then to attract the surrounding wildlife from local estates and shoots, the Gamekeepers dont like me very much as i get there game and hold them on my land for free lol . but what they dont know is the Game, eg pheasants ect , i dont touch as the farmer likes to see them. so im a disliked man for no reason only there own Greed a bit sad realy.. I have to say it is not really worth my while going out now as the crops and grass are so high that I get sod all. Went out last week and got 2 bunnies. not worth the diesel and a 70 mile round trip So I am waiting for him to take the grass down at least, but the weather has been so bad I think he is struggling.

Yeah, bit of a crap time when stuff gets too high, the next small piece of excitement for me will be when they mow the 5m buffer zone around some of the fields, but you've gotta be quick to get em, now you see me now you don't.

I am filling my time at the moment with making up Beehives. Takes flipping hours, just build a solar extractor, first bit of sunshine yesterday and it works, cept for the leak might need to look at that. Trying to get my diy NV to work, just waiting for 1 connector, and going to convert my garden cane bipod and tripod to quadstick. Managed to try a pair on saturday and they were great. I was surprised how easy they were to use and move.

Oh and looking at match barrell and Hogue stock for the 10/22. Finally get the new bracket made for the archer. (Must chase draughtsman) and a whole pile of other things that ensure I keep far to busy to get into DIY.

Got a phone call from a farmer down the road that 4 of his ducks went missing over the weekend.
I told him that I would have a look out, so I am sitting here waiting for darkness.
Most likely be a waste of time as the farm is all long grass (hay waiting to be cut), knee high cereal crops & woodland.
I am knackered after a hard day & with another gruelling day tomorrow I really should be in bed, but you know what it’s like.
Yet If I see those bright eye’s tiredness & fatigue will be instantly forgotten.

I cant wait for Harvest time. I manage to still shoot a few rabbits on a few fields on some of my permissions but i will be glad when the crops are cut.
