Hi, My Name is John and i am New to the forum (as i am sure you have all probably guessed already)

The honest truth of me joining the Forum, i have to say, is shameless commerce, in that my father passed recently and i find myself with some night vision gear that i can not justify keeping and feel it would do a lot better in the hands of someone who would make full use of it, i do hope that this does not offend anyone.

Given that i know the square route of a ginger biscuit about these, other than i can see in the dark with them, i have plagiarized an excerpt from another website that i feel would adequately describe to you guys what i have, so here goes....( it does not describe the additional lenses that i have and the IR lamp, but a little research will describe these also. Forum rules dictate the first 'Ill take it' gets them, payment should be made by paypal please. I have these advertised elsewhere for £2200, I would like now, for a quick sale £1750, this would include shipping, tracking and insirance. i can say these are in as new condition as i only ever saw them out of the box when my old man had had a drink and for a maximum in total of 30 minutes. They certainly have seen no hard use, or been out of the box for any length of time. All the paperwork is available in the packaging also. I might possibly entertain trade offers, however no guns please. I am also a knife collector and have far too many torches anyway (considering he also collected these amongst everything else)

I totally agree with PESCA and his suggestions, I have been contacted by several members already and i have suggested the following:

ESCROW - terms will be as per sale agreement, the funds should be placed within ESCROW and i will send these to whoever does this, WHEN they are found to be as good as new, then funds are released, the only caveat being that whatever the outcome shipping / Insurance etc will be for prospective buyer.

I have indicated that i will only accept PAYPAL - I am not sure how much security this gives the interested parties, however am sure that the buyer protection ensures their satisfaction.

Appreciate the thought - I keep getting screwed by fleabay and totally abhor both their and paypals terms of service. the last thing i sold there, the buyer didnt want, opened a case, got his money returned and i never got the red dot sight back....having paid the fees and postage etc, so i will NEVER again open a fleabay account. Surely if i am asking for paypal, then it is really one and the same? in that buyer protection is in place at time of sale? - please crrect me if i am wrong.

For an extra bit of security and further reassurance and the necessary goodwill from the seller for any interested buyers perusal and inspection, can you also include two separate samples of blood for DNA analysis and also some hair clippings and lastly a copy of your certified family tree lineage dating back to somewhere around either the time of Chaucer or the battle of Agincourt. I think that might cover all bases in the meantime but don't stray to far from the PM reply message box in case anything urgent crops up. Kind regards Phil
