Another some bloke spotter.

Post by some bloke » 06 Nov 2015, 07:49

Using up the last of my M42 SLR lenses, this has a used 55mm F1.7 chinon SLR lens for general purpose foxing and rabbiting. E700 inside.

£200 + £10 RMSD or collect.

It has a solid machined handle with a lanyard hole in it.

The spotter is powered by 2 18650 batteries - not supplied, and most NV users will already have a spare illuminator that can be fitted to it with a weaver based scope mount. That allows the illuminator to be shimmed or otherwise aimed high so the foreground is less likely to be washed out and the camera AGC can continue to see further rather than try to shutter out any excessive foreground light bloom.

The 5" monitor has a brightness control, with cabling that allows it to be moved into a truck (with a supplied extension cable) Shown here with a used SLR 50mm lens for general purpose fox and rabbiting magnification. The suction mount is not supplied but one can be fitted to the steel tripod socket.

The 5" monitor forms the lid of the box - this is how it is removed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNOhhMY1UsE

Additional 1 meter extension cables can be supplied at £5 each.
The tripod, illuminator and weaver rail scope mount are not supplied.

I Have an effio-e Camera and a 2× 18650 Battery Holder like yours.

Do you use a step up converter to 12v or the 7.4volts is enough to power the Camera and the monitor ?

Thanks
2 18650's will power the E700 camera and monitor for about 3 hours without complicating the build.
