I had one of those smaller ones - exactly the same as a TecSec F1.3.

I thought they were too but they are 1.4 Dave. But it's nice and compact.some bloke wrote:I had one of those smaller ones - exactly the same as a TecSec F1.3.
Your Dave, will put it in the post.
There is nothing else for sale than, going to hoard the rest.

Where might I find one of those filters you added to the zenit lens?
Re: Cosmicar 75mm 1.4 c mount
It's a 58mm ir uv cut filter, usually using it with Cosmicar lens, with zenit I use a step ring, good enough for daytime.Try2k wrote:Where might I find one of those filters you added to the zenit lens?

There is two threads about the photon XT extreme with lots of detail and pictures. I've just done one and I'm looking for a better lens. What is the 100mm m42 lens your referring to?Torchwood wrote:I was speaking to terry earlier about this. I had time out for few months due to health issues. A bit out of touch on this subject. Interested to know myself.Barmyfarmer wrote:Have you got a lens suitable for doing a photon xtreme conversion Torchwood?
Recently saw a photon with a 105mm m42 lens here for sale. I felt left behind a bit on this issue.
I'm sure someone will enlighten us with it.
Judging by that conversion, it is possible. My other favourite lens is a 100mm 1.5 lens on m42 thread. A bit of a lump but bloody good lens.

In my opinion, 100mm zenit lens is the ultimate lens for night vision shooting. 1.5 aperture make a joke of dark nights. With a full power torch, you can see the maximum ranges. I tried it with t67 as pill, my laser rangefinder couldn't measure the distance. I would say well over 800 yards for spotting. It's a lump of weight but it's worth the extra weight.
The lens comes from zenit night vision scope. You'll be lucky to buy one under £100. I've seen a few go around £150.
First lens only deal was £130 from Germany, they are a lot cheaper in state.
