Sunranger
Re: Sunranger
I don't think you can't buy one - you have to make it yourself - it's so easy nobody bothers making them for other people.
Step 1 - buy a TR38 IR illuminator from Ludicrous lumens with a 3 mode AS IR pill https://www.ludicrous-lumens.co.uk/coll ... 8020380487
Step 2- buy a Yukon 3x42 or 4x50 lens from Microglobe http://www.microglobe.co.uk/yukon-50mm- ... -8718.html http://www.microglobe.co.uk/yukon-nvmt- ... -8719.html
Step 3 - when you have the illuminator and the Yukon lens, unscrew the the 38mm head from the illuminator and screw on the Yukon lens - job done!!!
Cheers

Re: Sunranger
Hi Jim.
IMO the sunrangers are OVER RATED, i have the 3x42 one, if you take my advise buy a T66 for the Drone Pro 10x (which i'v'e also got)
If you have a look in the illumination section there are some power output test done by Phoenix which confirms what i'm saying.
The 66 or above A S pilled i/r torches will p**s all over the sunranger/s.

Re: Sunranger
you all must have arms like Gigantor. (ask the old ones who this is)
I like to keep my rifle with its rig as slim and light as possible, having a t66 t?? on top just does nothing for me,
plus I use the 3x42 Sunranger out past 300 on bunnies and below that on foxes? what more do I need.
try one first? and take it from there.
bob.

Re: Sunranger
Got to agree with Bob - whilst the T66 and T74 (I've used them both) are fantastic illuminators they're simply too heavy, bulky and awkward for me.
I find the 4x50 sunnranger more than good enough, but a lot lighter, less bulky and less awkward than the big T torches.

Re: Sunranger
I know earlier I said T74
But ....
I have a T20 & 2x T74 with IR
I have used the T74 up till now , but I got T20 with a new style IR pill to try from Phoenix unsure of the new pill name is it sunranger?
Anyway I'm now using the newer T20 on the drone pro & ive changed the T74 to a red pill .... the other I'll probably put a white in for walking or in the car ....
I tried the newer T20 with my bestguarder NV spotter & I have a 400 yard field and with that I could see to far end and would have been able to spot quarry had there been any
So for ergonomics lll use the new style T20 from now. I think
