Can't help about the sunshade but if you have the duplex reticle what do you think of the thickness of central part of the crosshair... and what camera lens size are you viewing it with if using it for NV please?
I'd also like to know if there is a sunshade available for it.

Re: Sightron sunshade
My S-Tac is the MOA ret which I find very good for NV using the E700 with the standard 16mm lens, and sunranger, a mate of mine uses the duplex for fox and loves it so much he bought two.
Re: Sightron sunshade
SIIISS832X56LRTD/TDT which is 8 to 32 X 56, .125 DOT WITH FINE CROSS HAIR RETICLE, SIDE FOCUS, TARGET KNOBS, MATT BLACK FINISH, WITH SIGHTRON PROTECTION CLOTH COVER, BOUGHT FROM "AIM" £620.00
Thanks all
Phil

Thank you Maxi - does your mate use it with NV... with a 16mm lens?Maxi wrote:My S-Tac is the MOA ret which I find very good for NV using the E700 with the standard 16mm lens, and sunranger, a mate of mine uses the duplex for fox and loves it so much he bought two.
I keep threatening to buy one and get my 17REM back in use but funds are a bit tight and I need to be fairly sure I can see the thinner parts of the crosshair but also that it doesn't obscure too much of a rabbit head.

Got the scope today, very impressed so far. Any news on the sunshade chaps?
Thread seems to be 54.5mm diameter if anyone has one laying about to sell.

OOF - yer - I just took a look.Maxi wrote:Optics Warehouse do the sunshades new, but they are expensive
I'll see how it goes with a shroud on the torch head - if needed before maybe knocking something up. Looks to me like it can be done with no threading and just a retaining lip inside the objective end bezel.
