Pard NV007 OLED Models 16mm and 12mm

Post by Mini Magnum » 27 Apr 2020, 18:43

Available to pre order now, arriving within the next 3 weeks hopefully sooner...

12mm and 16mm NV007 models fitted with Sony OLED display

The IR will be disabled for UK users, there will be a link to other worldwide firmwares that will enable the IR if required by the user.

Units will be supplied with a free micro sd card to update firmware and record within the unit.

So it is possible to overcome the UK ir restriction via firmware?....just wondering otherwise it means an external ir source.....just out of interest, what display is fitted to the previous 007's?

Absolutely yes.
I understand there will be a link to a version of the firmware that can be installed by the buyer and which will enable the IR.
There are also plenty members of this forum who have copies of a firmware version that enables the IR.
The previous 007 and 008 use an LCD screen with 800x600 pixels.
So, an upgrade to a higher resolution, better technology screen

Cheers

... And with it being firmware initiated it will be a doddle to sort out after the legal shenanigans have been resolved.

I think the idea is that if the seller sells the product with the IR disabled, then the seller has not broken any trading standards rules about selling class 3B or class 4 lasers to the general public.
Once the buyer (who presumably is a member of the general public) takes possession of the PARD, he/she is free to download and install firmware that enables the IR.
In the UK, members of the public can own and use lasers of any power.
They only commit an offence if they use the laser recklessly
