Oslon Blacks led's with wires soldered to tabs. For sale

I will be supplying Oslon black led's in 850nm and 940nm. For £12 each. P&P is included in the price. I use recycled packaging when ever possible.

They are reflow soldered using a digital hot air gun to control the heat. They will come with a blue wire to the negative and a yellow wire to the positive. These will match the colours to connect to the driver.

Each led is checked through a stereo microscope set at 20x mag. They are guaranteed to be sitting flat on the board. Each one is tested as working before leaving me.

I will order in some smaller boards for the guys that require them for their builds.

Ian, I'm not being pedantic here, but are the wires which are attached to the star of a generous length, to allow the fitting of the star first and the driver last, as opposed to the other way round?

I suppose what I'm getting at, is, once you've fitted the star plus wires, you have to be able to get at the driver for the soldering and then fit the driver.

George very good question and one that I should have addressed.
The wires that I have soldered onto the boards are from 4" to 5" long. One might be a bit longer than the other.
I measure 3 and they were all over 4" long.

This is way enough to go from a housing and allow the led to be soldered to the driver wires, with plenty wire spare. I am open to suggestions if you feel this not giving you enough wire to work with.

A mag head housing with sliding pill is 58mm long. same for the Crelant. The solid cored housings for the Crelant are 50mm. I am sure you will agree that the sizes given above are generous to get you to the driver.

No problems even if you were being pedantic. I am open to constructive criticism. Or anything that I have left out that is relevant info to the customer. You are helping me after all.

I try to combine p&p into my price structure. To send out a single driver. I would be losing money. I have no problems adding one to an order that has been placed that I can offset the postage charges. In fact, I can supply the dimmers power connectors and any other items that are needed for a self build, including the bare housing. I can supply housings that have the holes drilled and tapped, or can supply them at a reduced price where you do all this your self.
You get them from me all at the same time, instead of ordering from here there and everywhere.

also why not sell individual drivers. but at a premium, i would have certainly paid it a while back when i had to wait for a new order from KD

If anyone requests any special coloured leds. They can be purchased when the next order is going in.

I need to order smaller boards for the T20 guys to reflow the Oslons on to. There was two figures mention 16mm and 20mm, I thought you only got 16mm and 21 mm, I could be wrong there.

It cost me 90p to post a £12 led on a board with wires attached. I used a recycled envelope. That would be another 90p probably if I had to buy a new envelope. The post office is doing all right out of my sales.

Today has brought new problems to my venture. I will write a post after dinner. It is in regards to the Crelant heads. Not good from my point of view.

A not so happy chappie.

Hi Ian,

The Kaidomains I ordered for my T20's were 17mm - Ref AMC7135's according to the bit of paper I've got here. (I think) 5 for $8.46 with free shipping.

dunno if they are 20 or 21mm ian....neither would fit in a t20 without trimming
