Stop the campaign to ban use of
legal snares in Northern Ireland
Vote 'NO' in web poll now

Earlier this week, Belfast City Councillors backed an Alliance Party motion calling for the Northern Ireland Executive to bring in new legislation for a “ban on the use and sale of snares for the purposes of capturing or killing animals” and to “outlaw the hunting of mammals with dogs”.

Clearly, this campaign has implications not only for those who use working dogs for shooting but also those who use snares as effective and humane method of predator control.

There is a web poll on this issue. The poll currently stands at 74% - 26% in favour of the ban. BASC is urging anyone with an interest in country sports to visit the web page and vote NO in opposition to the proposed ban.

Click here to visit the BASC NI web page where you will find a link to vote on the online poll.

The online poll now stands at 54% NO vote against banning snares and using dogs to hunt.
Power to the people.
Lets see if they take any notice OR just ignore the public.

I should have said "OR just ignore the public as they usually do"

But if we dont try to stop these attacks against out community then we cant complain.
We need to make a stand every time the attack us from any direction or any part of the UK or were next on there list.

Off topic But i think they should ban vegitarian meal containing soy because they burn the rain forest to grow it.
Plus ban all these so called diet meals. (just because they are half the size does not make them low calory) It just makes you hungry.

Doesn't even apply to me, but they did take my vote.
You need to stand up collectively for every right, or soon you won't have any!

Voted.
Guys, don't be defeatist about things like this. Just because you lost once doesn't mean you will again. Here is the OZ experience.
1988. Attempt at national gun ban. We won.
1996. OZ lost semi autos and pump shotguns.
2001 Ban on hand gun importation. later partially overturned.
2003. Ban on handguns announced. We fought. Lost snubbies, other stuff still legal.
2004. Ban on pump action rifles, lever action rifles defeated the night before it was to be announced.
2005. Pump action shotguns legal again in one state for sport shooters.
2000-2015. Access to state forests and some national parks for hunting in one state.
2010-2013. Ban on importation of some knives, but importation of firearms parts eased. Ban on importation of long range rifles announced, but defeated.

If you don't fight, you have already lost. If you do fight, sometimes you lose, but sometimes you win.

should ban the halfwits running this country, thats all parties and the self righteous can't keep their noses out of other peoples business pratts like the idiot on the telly the other night on fox hunting. should go to jail for it you know....really?!?! problem is the tv la-dee dahs give these idiots a platform and then they milk it when the majority of us couldn't give a rats about their opinion.

heres one the tv news don't cover. did anyone see car crash britain the other week, woman driving through 30 in a village at probably fifty in suvh a hurry had to overtake a slow (probably doing the speed limit or there abouts) car on the wrong side of an island hit a poor old bloke (75) and kept driving. old bugger didn't have a chance was looking the other way as you would cos she shouldn't of been coming round the wrong side. she got a fine, ban and 200 hours community service. f*****g joke should of gone straight to jail.

clearly foxes are more important and newsworthy than humans great britain more like crazy britain

yes i did vote about eight times stupid poll when you can keeping pushing no
